Hasse Farm
Lily Fisheries are always on the look out for new venues and this 18 acre farm reservoir is perfect in every way. It was dug in 1990 and has remained un-fished for carp since then. There was a trout syndicate on this venue in the early years and although there has been no documented stockings there is thought to be a handful of carp present. Loads more carp have been stocked and as you can see some stunners at that. An unknown quantity and a new water to the championships Hasse will be an exciting event

A new venue for this year and one of the impressive fisheries on the Lily Fisheries portfolio. With 45 waters to choose form in the Essex / Cambs region they are a growing force in syndicate waters and Hasse is a cracker. At 18 acres it’s an irrigation reservoir with loads of fish present. How it will perform under match conditions no one knows as this is the first time it will have been tested but it’s a good looking open water with a lot of options and a lot of fish.

John Devonshire / Steve Rowe - 50.12
Mark Hutchinson / Miles Gascoigne - 31.00
2007 saw the BCACs first visit to Hasse Farm and whilst the other venue’s basked in bright sunshine and hot weather, Hasse was battered by storms from the off. The rains came down torrentially on day 1 and by close of business on Friday at the Cambridgeshire irrigation reservoir it was Master Caster Mark Hutchinson and Miles Gascoigne who lead the way with just one fish for 7.14. It was the only one caught through the storms and the night should be time to make hay. Leading the way by morning were Hutchinson and Gascoigne with two fish for 18.12. John Devonshire and Steve Rowe sat in second on 10.15 and a 9.07 for Matt Woods / Lewis Porter meant that they held third.
The day once again proved to be quiet but a charge from Elstow boys Glen Maulkerson and Lee Tompkinson meant that they put two fish on the bank by 6pm to give them the lead with a weight of 23.03. Hutchinson / Gascoigne remained static as did Devonshire / Rowe.
The night time proved a little more productive for Maulkerson / Tomkinson who came into their own with an accurate display of angling to lead with 57.01 at 6am. Devonshire / Rowe overtook Hutchinson / Gascoigne into 2nd slot with 39.09 against 18.12, and Woods / Porter managed another fish mid morning but it was only enough to keep them in fourth on 17.12. The rest of the field were quiet with just a few fish coming out that didn’t really affect the scores, and the close saw Maulkerson / Tomkinson run away with the win on 57.01,. Devonshire / Rowe took second with 50.12 and third were Hutchinson / Gascoigne with 31.00.
